Sympathy

I have a sympathy card to share today. Unfortunately I have had to make quite a few of these lately. The first card was cased from "mudflapmamma" on splitcoaststampers. I had a very feminine card made but it just didn't quite fit so I made this one instead. The ivory paper is CTMH, So Saffron is SU, metallic paper is from Michaels. Stamps are Lovely as a Tree and Warmest Regards from Stampin Up. Gold Cord is also from Michaels.

Baby gift paint can

This was a gift for Al's cousin Julie. She just had a baby girl. Inside are some stamped onesies (my first try). They came out ok but I definitely need a little practice to get the images lined up. Also an altered picture frame, cute little shoes, and a rattle. The stamps are from Papertrey Ink and Close to my heart. All of the ink was Papertrey Hybrid Palette. The paper is from Michael's. I was there one day this summer and a young girl picked up this paper and I saw it and thought it would be cute for a baby item. I hope she liked the gift.

This was one of the end of year gifts for Owen's teacher. The notebook is from Michael's and the paper and stamps are from Close to my Heart. Ribbon and ink are from Stampin Up. I also used nestabilities dies. I love these. Mrs. Day is a wonderful kindergarten teacher. Owen will miss her I am sure.

Close to My Heart Consultant

I am so incredibly excited to start a new business venture. I have signed on to be a consultant for Close To My Heart. They are a scrapbooking and stamping company. I am not a scrapbooker but thought it might be something I would try. Of course I love making cards and gift items. I received my new kit this week and cannot wait to get some projects going. I am going to be selling and doing some workshops and stuff but really wanted to be able to purchase my own stuff when I need it. Hopefully I will start posting some projects soon. The weekends are going to be full now with our camp open. I am very excited to be able to get up there this weekend. Owen's T-Ball game got cancelled so we will be able to spend the whole weekend. Can't wait.

I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted anything here. Very bad blogger I guess..I am home today because I had dental surgery this morning so I thought I would post something. I am still trying to figure out how to get good pictures. I am having trouble with shadowing. I think it might be time to take a class in digital photograpy. Last week I had 3 cards to make so I ended up using the same materials to do all three cards. They are very similar but a little different. One was a sympathy, one a get well and one a thank you. The paper is Rose Red and Cameo Coral from Stampin up and White from Stampassion, our local stamping store. The designer paper is Raspberry Tart from Stampin up. This set has the best colors. The ink is Old Olive and Cameo Coral markers, Rose Red and Adirondack Pitch Black. The ribbon is something I picked up at Michael's. It is olive colored with a little gold in it. Kind of holidayish but it worked on the card. The Stamps are mostly from Thoughts and Prayers from Stampin up. The thanks a bunch stamp is from Papertrey Ink Floral Frenzy. I have a lot more stuff to post, hopefully before the weekend. It is supposed to be beautiful here this weekend. They are talking in the 80's. Owen has his first T-Ball game on Saturday. I can't wait. The kids are so cute. It is so fun to watch.

Monogrammed Card Set and Gift Bag

I made these for the most wonderful school nurse in the whole world. My friend Mary Jo turned 40 last week and I made her this set of monogrammed notecards and this cute little bag to put them in. The pictures really aren't that great but the colors are Pacific Point and Baja Breeze. I love this combo. I used Hearfelt thanks from Stampin up to make my own patterned paper for the design on both. The cards all had an embossed cuttlebug layer. I used 4 different folders, then I used the scalloped scallop punch from E.K. Success for the bottoms. The monograms were made with Papertrey Ink b&c monogram edition and ambassador monogram. The little tag I made with the word window punch from Stampin up was stamped "happy birthday" with the Papertrey Birthday Basics set. I really think this turned out cute. I wish the pictures were better. Let me know what you think. I would love a comment even if it is constructive criticism. I think there are so many talented papercrafters out there an I would love to hear your opinions.

Julia's 3rd Birthday Card

A cute little Winnie the Pooh stamp on this one. This was for my niece Julia who turned 3 on St. Patrick's day...Her mom turned 25 on the same day. Her card I will post later. This one is just Pink Pirouette and generic white. The word stamps are from Papertrey Ink. Can I just tell you how much I love their stamps. The versatility is amazing. I have a few sets and I find myself mixing and matching them all the time. Anyway, the white layer is embossed with a flowery cuttlebug folder and punched with a scalloped scallop punch. These punches are really cute. Michael's just started carrying this whole new line of E.K. Success punches and I love them. The squares are punched with Marvy punches and I added a little pink ribbon from Mike's..

Baby Girl Card

Finally getting around to doing some posting. It has been a while. I have a few projects I have been working on. This is a card for a friend of my husband's who had a baby girl last week. I got a cute little Winnie the Pooh outfit to go with it.

Really bad shadowing on this picture. It doesn't matter where I go in the house, I just can't get the lighting right. I guess photography is not my strong point. The stamp sets I used are Everday Envelopes from Clear Dollar stamps and So Many Scallops from Stampin up.. The paper is Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss and generic white. This ribbon I found on clearance at Michael's for $1. 25 yards of ribbon. Woohoo. Really cute color matches mellow moss wonderfully. A little bit of Stickles were added on the stars. Hope they like it...

Coffee Themed Basket for Auction

Finally done with this auction basket. It seems like I have been working on it forever. Owen's school is having an auction next weekend to benefit the PTO. I took pictures of the individual items that I stamped. Then pictures of the basket all together with the stamped items and the items I purchased to go in the basket. I got a lot of inspiration from Splitcoast Stampers for the stamped items. The coffee mug shaped card I cased from blessingsx3 on SCS. Here is the link to her blog. http://stampingwithstyle.blogspot.com/

The first picture is the basket wrapped and ready to go. The second is the basket unwrapped. The next photo is of the coffee itself. I just put simple bands around it and stamped the images with H&M's Coffee's Brewing. Next, I made two coasters from tumbled tiles I purchased at Lowe's. They are stamped with images from Coffee's brewing using Stazon Timber Brown. I colored in the cups with my Stampin up markers. Then two coats of Matte Acrylic Sealer. Next up is the travel mug. I found this at Joann's and removed the original paper lining and made this one with some retired Stampin up paper. Next is a notepad holder. You can't see it very well in the picture but I used two different cuttlebug folders. Paisley on top and Swiss Dots on the bottom. Inside is a coffee notepad I found somewhere for $1.00. Next item is the coffee mug card I mentioned above. I saw this on SCS and thought it was adorable. I decided to copy it with the supplies I had on hand. I used the hearts cuttlebug folder and some border punches from Fiskars and Martha Stewart. Inside are individual instant coffee packets from Taster's Choice. The next two photos are the of the jar I made filled with chocolate covered expresso beans purchased from Target. I used the same packet of Stampin up paper as above and finally used my new Cricut to make the label. Lastly, is the set of notecards. They were stamped with the Coffee's Brewing set from H&M and one card I did with my brand new set Everyday Envelopes from Clear Dollar Stamps. Most of the cardstock used was from Stampin up - Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, Creamy Caramel and some generic white. I think I covered everything. The school is doing a chinese auction type thing where people purchase tickets then put them in the baskets they hope to win. I hope this baskets gets a lot of tickets because that means more money for the PTO. I plan on helping out with the morning setup and I am sure I will be bidding on some stuff myself. I think it will be a lot of fun.

Valentines for my family

A little late on this posting but these are the cards I made for Al and Owen for Valentine's Day. Al's used Stampin Up's Happy Heart Day and H&M stamps Coffee's a brewing. Owen's used just Happy Heart Day. They both have the cuttlebug heart folder. Real Red, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose from Stampin up for the paper. I love this coffee stamp set from H&M. I have a feeling I will be using it for a lot of projects in the future.

Owen's Valetines

These were what I came up with for Owen's Valentine's for his friends at school. I got the idea from creativeexpressionsbyjoanna.blogspot.com. The directions were very easy to follow..Thanks Joanna for the inspiration. Owen said his friends really liked these and that everybody hugged him... sounds like a fun time to me..Sorry my photography skills aren't that wonderful. I really would love a new digital camera. Mine is a few years old now.

Papertrey Ink Bitty Dots Sketch Challenge

I decided since I was going to participate in this sketch challenge that I would make the card for Owen's Kindergarten teacher for Valentine's Day. All of the supplies are from Stampin Up except for the markers. Stamp set is Happy Heart Day and the paper is Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette. I also used Cuttlebug hearts folder. I had a really hard time getting a good photo. Not that I am complaining but the sun is shining brightly through the windows today. They say it is supposed to be in the 40's today in Upstate NY. We have a winter carnival to go to today so I hope this holds true. The Waterford Youth Council puts on this carnival every year at Sugarloaf Pond which is by my house. Last year they had Waterford Idol and the children all got to sing. Some of them were really good. They have chili, hot dogs and hot chocolate. It has been really cold here this winter so I am looking forward to getting some time outside with Owen..

Paper Crafts Tote Bag

I found this tote bag pattern on Splitcoast Stampers. I made it for my friend's daughter's Sweet Sixteen Birthday. The stamps are Tagger's Dozen and Cool Cat from Stampin up. I first saw this cute little bag at my very first Stampin Up workshop. The ladies that were doing the workshop made one of these for each person to bring their cards home in. I love it and was so glad I found the dimensions on SCS. Inside the bag I put a Tinkerbell watch. It was really cute and she loved it.

My first paint can gift set

This is my first paint can gift set I made as a gift for Nell and Ryan's wedding. They are both very Irish. This is why I chose green as the main color for this set. It includes monogrammed notecards, paper clip bookmark, candle holder which contains a yankee candle wedding day candle, and wrapped hershey nuggets. This wedding was one spectacular event. I had the best time... The stamp sets used for this project are as follows: Stampin up Baroque Motifs and Friendship blooms. Also the notecards were made with Papertrey Ink B&C Monogram Edition. I love this set. I have made several sets of monogrammed notecards as gifts with this and they all came out cute. I have several other paint can sets I made as wedding gifts for people from work. I will try to get them uploaded. I also have several other items to upload. I may not remember all the details about supplies used but at least if I get the photos up others may be able to use them as inspiration. Terri
